WoVeN is heading to New Orleans on March 1st and 2nd, 2018 for our next peer leader retreat. Our last retreat took place in St. Louis this past summer, where peer leader teams came together to join the WoVeN community. Peer leaders will be joining us in New Orleans from eight cities – check out our Facebook post to see which cities are currently forming groups. We’re excited to welcome our new peer leaders and reunite with those who are returning. Congratulations to Dallas/Ft. Worth; it’s our first city to recruit a full group thanks to peer leaders Brandy and Drea. They did an awesome job getting this group together and we’re eager to welcome them into the WoVeN family in March!
Becoming a WoVeN peer leader is a great opportunity to bond with other women Veterans while utilizing your leadership skills to bring the WoVeN program to women Veterans in your community. We’ll be working hard while having fun and building lifelong connections!
It’s not too late if there isn’t a group forming in your city for you to get one together and join us in New Orleans! Simply fill out this form and we’ll walk you through the application process from there.
If selected, becoming a peer leader and attending the retreat in New Orleans is fully funded by a grant generously provided to Boston University by the Walmart Foundation, so there will be no out-of-pocket travel costs to you or your co-leader.
