At the beginning of August, WoVeN held its first peer leader training retreat in St. Louis, MO!! Our expert trainers were joined by six women Veterans from San Antonio, TX, Charlotte, NC, and Pittsburgh, PA who have volunteered to serve as WoVeN’s very first peer leaders. The Missouri History Museum and St. Louis’s Forest Park provided a beautiful backdrop for the two-day training. The peer leaders brought their enthusiasm to learn and their commitment to carrying out WoVeN’s mission. Our expert trainers were thrilled to share their vision of WoVeN as a supportive and empowering community for women Veterans. Collectively, this amazing group of women came together from different corners of the country to strengthen the WoVeN community. The St. Louis retreat left the whole team energized and ready to continue to build WoVeN and empower women Veterans!
