At the end of February, women Veterans from across the country gathered in sunny San Diego, CA to attend the WoVeN National Peer Leader Training. 56 new Peer Leaders will bring WoVeN back to their communities to start their own WoVeN groups and 4 new Trainers are now able to train Peer Leaders regionally. We’re also really excited that this new group of Peer Leaders will be bringing WoVeN online, too! With this training, WoVeN is now in 26 states, DC, and Puerto Rico, and over 100 cities scattered across the country.
To cap off the Saturday training, we invited our training attendees to a photoshoot at the beautiful Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial, which remembers Veterans for proudly serving the USA. This was the perfect way to remember the close bonds that were formed over the weekend.
We are so excited for this new cohort of Peer Leaders to bring WoVeN back to their communities. We have over 30 groups starting in the next few months, including 15 online groups. Online groups are a great option for women Veterans living in rural locations or areas where there are no current WoVeN groups. We want to thank our new Peer Leaders and Trainers for their dedication to spreading WoVeN across the country – welcome to the WoVeN family, we’re so glad you’re here
